The technology adds high-tech performance characteristics by using structures one-millionth the size of a grain of sand. Unlike solutions and chemicals, nanotechnology in a fiber is permanent. Because the chemistry of NANO-TEX works on such a miniscule scale, the added repellency is undetectable and the fibers are ultimately stronger and less susceptible to penetration by water molecules and stain agents. Textiles are processed in a cleaner, easier and more streamlined manner, without sacrificing the quality, color or hand. Because of the microscopic nature of NANO-TEX there is no interference in the procedure or the reclamation quality. | | | | | | | | | | Zeftron® Contex Solution- Dyed Nylon w/NANO-TEX™ Resists Spills Zeftron Contex Solution-Dyed Nylon with NANO-TEX Resists Spills is the first contract textile constructed with both nanotechnology and Nylon6,a recyclable solution-dyed nylon from Honeywell Nylon Inc. Nylon6, which is used widely in high-performance carpet manufacturers and architectural fabrics, can now be depolymerized economically, something that has allowed nylon to become the first truly recyclable fiber.Zeftron Contex Nylon with NANO-TEX will be available in four patterns: Muir, Boreas, Alkai and Pattino. Each pattern features a rich sheen effect. All reach 100,000+ double rubs. Alkai - Named after Seattle's Alkai Beach, Alkai was based on natural sand patterns and mimics the undulating lines created in sand when the ocean water washes over it. Alkai uses an ombre effect (colors with a similar sensibility moving from light to dark) to design spotlight variations in color and texture. Available in seven colorways, including:Tostada (brown to cream ombre),Yerba (brown to light gold ombre), Pompeii (red to orange ombre), Majolica (blue to light blue ombre),Water Cress (blue green to yellow green ombre), Atlantic (teal to sea blue ombre) And Rainer (black to white ombre). Boreas - This design features a delicate scroll pattern. Inspired by the movement of the North Wind, it has a luxurious embroidery feel. Yet Boreas was designed as vehicle for color. The wide range of hues allows it to be used in a wide range of applications. Colorways include: Buff, Marron,Mustang, Dijon,Garnet,Canal,Suitor, Nautical, Pacific, Lichen, Nightshade, Marsala and Stallion. Muir- Named after John Muir and the national park, Muir Woods, this pattern has a leaf motif. Colors vary within each leaf and are enhanced by long broken, intertwining lines. Muir benefits from an ombre effect (colors with a similar sensibility moving from light to dark).Colorways include Kola, Redwood, Blue Bell, Peacock, Sedge, Beaujolais and Calendula. Pattino - This playful pattern features rows of two-color ellipses on a contrasting solid background. The inspiration for Pattino was based on the chalk drawings for the 2004 Public Art Fund:Whitney Biennial in Central Park . Available in Light Neutral, Brown, Blue, Steel Blue, Deep Teal,Yellow Green multi color, Pale Orange, Orange/Red multi color, Red/Purple multi color, and Black/Gray multi color. | | | | | | | | | | Recycled Polyester w/NANO-TEX™ Resists Spills | | | | | | | | | | 100% Recycled Polyester with NANO-TEX Resists Spills turns PET from soda bottles and x-ray film into fiber, which is then made into yarn. The use of recycled polyester in textiles reduces post-consumer waste (bottles) and post-industrial waste (film). Also, using these existing sources to make polyester preserves the earth's dwindling petroleum reserves. Performance characteristics of this fiber are enhanced by NANO-TEX Resists Spills, which does not affect future recyclability of the product. Epiphany - The design is a dobby-weave textured solid with a tissue pick for accent. The tissue pick is an incorporation of a high-sheen yarn for a small pop of color. Designtex has developed a particularly fresh and fun range of colors for Epiphany, making it suitable for many environments. Epiphany is a 100% recycled polyester (12% post consumer/ 88% post industrial). This design is a dobby weave textured solid with a tissue pick for accent. Available in a fresh and fun range of colors, Epiphany is suitable for many environments. Colorways include: Shell (neutral with light neutral tissue), Pony (tan with pale blue tissue), Cocoa (brown with bronze tissue), Lipstick (red with orange tissue), Lapis (blue with light blue tissue), Saltwater (copen blue with silver tissue), Kaolin (yellow green with silver tissue), Pesto (moss green with light purple tissue), Evergreen (emerald green with pale blue tissue), Damson (raspberry with purple tissue), Aubergine (purple with gold tissue), Orange Pekoe (orange with purple tissue) and Tamari (black with brush nickel tissue). Reaches 45,000 double rubs. | | | | | | | | | | Skylark- Skylark is 100% recycled polyester (10% Post Consumer/ 90% Post Industrial). This pattern is a classic dobby weave texture. Skylark has a crisp, classic look but with a fresh color palette. At a distance it appears to be a solid, but with closer inspection the multi-color effect appears. Ideal for task seating, this fabric reached 60,000 double rubs. Available in eight colorways: Firebrick,Cardinal,Copenhagen, Blue Jay, Tomatillo, Lagoon, Concord and Raven. | | | | | | | | | | Designtex | | | | | | Samples . Orders .
