| | | | | | | | | | | | | | MODERN SENSE semplici lettere dell'alfabeto, ogni lettera è un segno, singolarmente non esprime nulla, ma accostato ad altri segni acquista un senso, restituendo un preciso significato: così, come una parola è una sequenza di elementi che traggono un senso dalla posizione in cui sono combinati, rivelando l'enorme potere dell'aggregazione, nello stesso modo abbiamo pensato la collezione 2007 di Ceccotti Collezioni, combinando segni e mani tra loro diverse, a volte diametralmente opposte, in un unico insieme significante. Oggetti molto forti, unici e personali, oltre ogni schematismo, manierismo, moda, pezzi apparentemente inaccostabili che rendono un significato di grande contemporaneità proprio per la loro inaspettata capacità di "vivere bene insieme" restituendo forti suggestioni: i riferimenti vengono liberamente da tempi e luoghi diversi, un intreccio tra passato e presente, rigore e contaminazione, ricco e povero, forma e materia, architectural design e reinterpretazione della memoria. Questo nuovo percorso di Ceccotti Collezioni propone una casa fatta da oggetti con la personalità dei mobili di modernariato e, come per una casa arredata con pezzi di modernariato, combina tra loro oggetti provenienti da pensieri, mani, riferimenti storici diversi in un insieme di forte intensità e grande personalità: oggetti in legno, in sintonia con la vocazione produttiva Ceccotti Collezioni, ma anche mobili fatti con altre materie, ove il legno è completamente assente, legati da un medesimo approccio e dalla medesima passione per le lavorazioni artigianali di alta qualità. Oggetti che, come mobili di modernariato, non sono per tutti, ed hanno bisogno di essere amati per restituire la gioia di poterli possedere ed usare: un lusso personale, pacato per nulla esibizionista, lontano da ogni dimostrazione di "status", opulenza o formalismo, pezzi di alto artigianato, vero made in Italy, in cui la capacità manuale ha ancora significato, importanza ed è una differenza tangibile, combinazione tra la sapiente capacità costruttiva di Ceccotti Collezioni, gelosamente coltivata da Franco Ceccotti, ed il pensiero di cinque designers internazionali, ognuno con una sua precisa, forte personalità, coordinati nel progetto da Massimo Castagna. Forse questa collezione è un sogno romantico e visionario, molto lontano da un "mercato" fatto di produzione industriale e omologazione stilistica, ma questo "sogno", è quello che vorremmo abitasse nella nostra casa, ed è ciò che, da persone comuni, attente e curiose, che vivono il mondo di oggi, crediamo sia vera espressione di lusso. | | | | | | | | | | MODERN SENSE simple letters of the alphabet, each letter is a sign, taken on its own it means nothing but when matched with other rustic signs it makes sense, it means something specific: just like a word is a sequence of elements that draw sense from the way they are matched, revealing the huge power of aggregation, likewise we have designed the 2007 collection of Ceccotti Collezioni, mixing and matching different signs and hands, sometimes diametrically opposed, into a single meaningful whole. Very strong, unique items, beyond any scheme, mannerism or fashion, seemingly unmatchable pieces that give an extremely contemporary feel just because they are unexpectedly able to "live together well", exuding strong suggestions: references freely come from different times and places, an entwining of past and present, of minimalism and contamination, of rich and poor, of form and matter, of design and the reinterpretation of the memory. Ceccotti Collezioni's new journey shows a house that is made of items that have the personality of modern antiques and, as in any house decorated with modern antiques, it mixes and matches items that come from different philosophies, hands, historical references into a whole that is deeply intense and powerfully unique: wooden items in tune with Ceccotti Collezioni's landmark ranges as well as furniture made with other materials, in which wood is nowhere to be seen, sharing the same approach to and the same passion for quality handicrafts. Items that, just like modern antiques, are not for everyone and need to be loved to reward the owner with the joy of possessing and using them: a personal, moderate luxury, that is not outrageous at all, far from any show of "status", opulence or formalism, quality handicrafts, truly Italian products, in which the manual skills still make sense, are still important and make all the difference, in which the masterly constructive ability of Ceccotti Collezioni, jealously treasured by Franco Ceccotti, meets the philosophy of five international designers, each one with his unique, powerful personality, under the project coordination of Massimo Castagna. This collection may be a romantic, visionary dream, very far from a "market" made of industrial products and stylistic standardisations, but this "dream" is the dream we would want to live in our house, and it is what, as attentive and curious ordinary people who live in today's world, we believe is the true expression of luxury. | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
