Add subtotals A + B + C to get TOTAL DIf any of the variations (described below) apply, adjust accordingly. TOTAL D is the heat output (in Watts) required from one or more contemporary radiators to heat a living room to a temperature of 21C (70F) when the outside temperature is -1C (30F) . Each radiator in this catalogue is listed with its heat output. Photocopy the chart before use, if you wish to make calculations for more than one room.
Floors with Insulation: HEATCALC assumes that floors in Basements/Ground Floor rooms and Single Storey buildings are not insulated. If they are insulated multiply subtotal A by 0.78. Party Architectural walls / Internal Walls: HEATCALC assumes that party walls and internal walls have heated rooms on the other side. If the room on the other side is not heated, use this contract table: ●
As every room and central heater system is different, and the number of variables is so great, you mustcheck your heat requirement figure and choice of radiator with the plumber responsible for the installation.
