Legal basics
The legislature prescribes emergency lighting
based on defined regulations for work
and assembly places.
Here, DIN VDE 0100-718 of 01-Oct-05
takes effect as the German standard along
with EN 50172 as the European standard.
The requirements placed on electrical safety
illumination systems are regulated in both.
Electrical and mechanical structure along
with lighting engineering requirements for
emergency operation are to be found in
EN 60598-2-22 and DIN 1838.
The safety markings for the emergency
lights are, e.g. described in DIN 4844.
At BEG, you can obtain classical emergency
and direction lighting for all possible
installation scenarios with conventional function
checks up to disk and aluminium profile
lights in noble design for various visibility
ranges with automatic AF function check
and BUS control. Up to 1000 emergency
lights can be permanently controlled via
bus systems.
