All about POLYSCREEN® Polyscreen® modern fabrics? In the first place, it is their transparency What is it that differentiates . These fabrics allow good visibility to the outside, which is even better with those of greater openness, as we will explain further later on. The fundamental advantage of the fabric in front of tinted panes that is adhered to the glass is that they do not cause any distortion to the colors from the outside. This is possible due the opacity of the yarn that is woven with and to the clean pores that exists between them. Logically, there are fundamental aesthetic reasons that would make us choose a Polyscreen® over other fabrics. For example, in the photograph to the left, it can be observed that the roller shade permits visibility to the outside, creating a more spacious look to the inside of the room, while at the same time, acting as a solar filter. It is also interesting to note the existence of guidelines in Germany for safety and labor health (“ Regulations over labor working areas ”) that stipulates….” the working areas must have a visual connection to the outside at eye level and its space should be at least 1/10 of the plant space….”. Polyscreen® fabrics support this requirement by being an element of solar protection without blocking the visual contact to the outside. Besides this, Polyscreen® shades are very easy to clean and require very little maintenance . They can be easily washed with a sponge and soapy water, which makes them ideal for public places and offices, aside from the conveniences that they afford in domestic applications. Because of its architectural screen construction, Polyscreen® permits the flow of air, something which is not possible with tighter woven fabrics. There are two advantages which are important to point out: - Does not allow the formation of a “cushion” of hot air between the shade and the glass pane, a very important feature for outside installations - It is possible, during warm days, to keep the windows supplier open, while the shade functions as a solar filter and at the same allowing ventilation which keeps the inside of the room from over heating. Is should be also taken into account the Blackout version of some shades of Polyscreen®, as they show the same properties of long lasting, easy maintenance, and decorative purposes when 100% opacity is required.
