ALBANY
The Rapid Roll®Model 670 saves companies millions every year in maintenance and energy costs while improving traffic flow! The original heavy-duty door!
A company of Albany International Corp.
BMAa,
1. Patented Counterbalance and Tensioning System
The internally mounted counterbalance and tensioning system is the very heart of our fast-acting door. The pulleys are constructed of a high-impact, injection-molded polymer and contain two permanently sealed, lubricated ball bearings. Pre-stretched, self-lubricating, steel aircraft garden cables work in conjunction with alloy 319 die-cast aluminum cable drums.
2. Virtually Indestructible Door Panel
The chemical, weather and puncture resistant Rolltex™ door blade material is tough. Constructed of a double-layer of woven polyester monofilament coated and impregnated with PVC, it is not seamed, spliced or joined. Rolltex™is easy to clean and is guaranteed for five (5) years.
3. Protective Top Roll
The Model 670's door panel rolls up on an 11-gauge ASTM 513 steel tube. This heavy-duty tube is sized for maximum deflection of .01 in./ft. (.078 mm/m) and maximum overall deflection of .20 inches (5 mm). A nylon brush serves as the top seal to prevent air infiltration.
4. Heavy-Duty Bottom Beam
The rigid, low-profile manufacturer bottom beam is made of anodized extruded aluminum alloy 6063 either 4.25 or 6.5 inches (108 mm or 165 mm) high, depending on
door size and windload. The steel ten-sioning cable is attached to 10-gauge zinc-plated steel brackets at each end of the bottom beam.
5. Contactless Safety Edge™
The Contactless Safety EdgeTM helps stop accidents before they can happen, while permitting extremely fast door speeds. The sensitive through-beam photocells travel up and down with the door. If an object is detected, the door reverses immediately before contact.
6. Impact Resistant Bottom Building beams
Engineered for a variety of applications, The 670 offers a choice of three different bottom beam systems as a standard feature: Self Repair Device (SRD)-
No downtime. In the event of an impact, the SRD automatically resets the door for operation. Rapid Reset System (RRS)-
designed for exterior applications where there may be heavy winds. The RRS allows for an easy manual reset of the curtain and bottom beam after an accidental hit. No tools are required and the model 670 is back in operation in seconds. A fixed bottom beam is also available.
7. Heavy-Duty Side Frames
The 12 and 14-gauge self-supporting gavanneal steel side frames are standard and feature hinged steel covers that protect the balance and tension system. Also standard are front and rear
channel guides for use with windbars. Double nylon brushes located in the side frames provide an excellent air and weather seal around the sides of the door. Steel frames painted in silver, blue or brown are standard, custom colors are available. The easy-to-remove covers are low profile and won't corrode or rust.
8. Ingenious Control Panel
Low maintenance. High reliability. The Model 670 features a state-of-the-art, self-diagnostic control panel. The Model 670 control panel meets NEMA 4 requirements and is UL (File #E103891) and CSA listed. The advanced technology control panel features a programmable logic controller (PLC) and is standard with your choice of two remote push buttons, two pull switches or one of each,
9. In-Line Photocells
In-line photocells prevent the door from closing when an object is in the doorway.
10. Revolutionary All-Star™ Drive
Each Model 670 is equipped with a 100% solid state All-StarTM Drive for maximum efficiency and productivity. This computer controlled system has a soft start/soft stop feature that virtually eliminates jarring starts or stops for less wear and downtime. The door can be programmed to operate at speeds up to 100" per second (2.54m).
