1. Door Panel
The model 355's door curtain consists of a transparent vinyl fabric furniture, connected with a polyester monofilament woven double layer, tensioning fabric that is impregnated and coated with PVC. The door panel has a special tensioning system for extra strength against air pressure and the edges of the curtain are reinforced with special wind tabs that are held secure within the side frames,
2. Side Frame
The door's extruded aluminum side columns are self-supporting, which allows for quick and simple installation and in most cases reducing the need for additional framing materials, The side frames contain an internally mounted counterbalance system for tensioning the door curtain and balancing the weight of the door panel and bottom edge, The covers on the side frames can be easily opened for quick cleaning and maintenance,
3. Patented Contactless Safety Edge
Contactless Safety Edge uses sensitive photocells to detect objects in the door path above floor level, The photocells
are positioned 5" (12,7cm) below the bottom safety edge on both sides of the door curtain, When the door is closing the photocells travel with the bottom edge remaining 5" (12,7cm) below the door panel so they detect an object before the door can make any contact, In addition to the CSE systems, stationary in-line photocells are fixed at floor level for maximum safety measures,
4. SRD2 Technology
The door panels' bottom beam is anodized alloy 6063 extruded aluminum with a profile height of 7,5" (19,05cm), including the bottom rubber edge, The bottom beam and door panel is engineered with a SRD2 self repairing technology, If equipment or vehicles accidentally impact the panel, the door curtain and bottom beam will release from the side frames to help avoid damage, The unique balance and tensioning system allows for the door panel to release away far enough to lessen the severity of an impact and then return for a quick reset for operation, After an impact the door will stop automatically and can be reset by a push of a button on the control panel, The reset button lowers the
bottom beam to floor level where the panel and side frame components automatically reconnect for normal door cycling,
5. All Star™ Drive System
Single-phase powered, computer controlled drive system features a soft-start/soft-stop operation, eliminating jarring starts and stopping of the door panel for less wear on the drive, Door limits are easily set directly from the control panel, This systems allows the door to consistently operate at speeds of up to 100" (2,5m) per second with very little wear to mechanical parts,
6. Manual Release
The door can be opened easily with manual release, in the event of a facility power outage,
7. Warranty
Albany Door Systems warrants mechanical and electrical components against defects in material and workmanship for two (2) year, and the door panel (curtain) and labor up to (1) year,
