The principle

Titanium dioxide (TiO Antibacterial: microorganisms such as e.g. fungi, algae, moss orgerms are decomposed.
2 )is baked onto the tile manufacturer surface as catalystat high temperature and effects a reaction between light, oxygen and air humidity. Activated oxygen is produced, and the result is ahydrophilic (= “water-friendly“) surface with the following advantageous properties: Extremely easy to clean: instead of being repelled, the waterspreads to form a thin film, which washes down the dirt
Dirt Water Odour-eliminating: unwelcome or harmful odours and atmos-pheric pollutants are eliminated – both indoors and outdoors. The effects are permanently conserved and activated by lightagain and again. Titanium dioxide is non-toxic as well as free of irritating substances and can even be added to food. For further information, please request our special Hydrotectdocuments.
With Hydrotect, dirt is simply washed down by the water. Activated oxygen ...... decomposes algae, moss, fungi etc.Titanium dioxide isactivated by light Important: The use of silicone caoutchoucs must be absolutely avoided, because silicone fluids segregate and effect sticky surfaces on which dirt adheres. Therefore, only use the system components mentioned (foamed piece, EPDM rubber profile, neoprene rubberwasher) and pointing, bonding and sealing materials recommended by us. Wewillbe pleased to inform you in detail. The usual final cleaning after completion of the construction works is still required.
