| Ceramic composite elements KerAion Plus with invisible fastening The KerAion Plus composite elements consist of 8 mm thick KerAion base modern panels which are covered with 6 or 8 mm thick ceramic tiles in-plant. The individual building tiles of the surface covering with a maximum side length of 40 cm must not cover more than an area of 0.12 m2 (DIN 18515, Part 1). KerAion Plus is available in diverse standard sizes from 600 x 600 to 1200 x 1200 mm. The grid sizes of the small-size ceramic surface covering are matched to the respective base panel size. Bonding and pointing are carried out by a specially tested technique. The composite elements are non-combustible, building material class A2. The invisible fastening of the elements is carried out with the proven system KerAion Quadro, which permits the connection to commercially available substructures. Especially in the field of the protection of historical monuments, at renovations and restorations intended to preserve the original character of small-size building ceramics facades, KerAion Plus offers an ideal solution. But also in the case of new buildings these composite elements offer the possibility of combining the look of smaller ceramic sizes with the fastening technique and the advantages as regards construction physics of rear-ventilated, heat-insulated facade systems. We will be pleased to verify the technical and economical feasibility of these project-specific solutions. Please contact us. As an enlargement of the existing approvals nos. Z.-33.1.21 and Z-33.1-27, KerAion Plus has the general approval of the supervising authority by the "Deutsches Institut fur Bautechnik" (German Institute for Structural Engineering). |
