34 KeraTwin K12

Fastening KeraTwin K12 with invisible clamp fastening KT

Apossible alternative to the system K12 with clasps on support-ing rails is the fastening of the KeraTwin facade panels by means of KT clamps. This system is suitable for renovations and new buildings. The system K12 consists of facade panels and the clamp system KT and is suitable for all commercially available substructures. Essential system advantages •Particularly economical facade system•Variety of colours •All glazed surfaces with Hydrotect coating •Low weight, only 32 kg/m
2 KeraTwin K12 •Extensive range of clamps •Suitable for use in combination with commercially available substructures•Mitre-cut angles are possible, see page 25 System description The facade panels KeraTwin K12 are fixed laterally in the channelsof the facade elements by means of single-clamps of the system KT.The clamps are connected to the substructure by means of stainless steel rivets or screws. Toprevent clattering and constraining forces, the facade panels are installed on the substructure in a nonrigid way.If required for static reasons, the facade panels can be held by clasps and supporting rails in addition (see page 32).
KeraTwin Important: The use of silicone caoutchoucs must be absolutely avoided, because silicone fluids segregate and effect sticky surfaces on which dirt adheres. Therefore, only use the system components mentioned (foamed piece, EPDM rubber profile, neoprene rub- ber washer) and pointing, bonding and sealing materials recommended by us. We will be pleased to inform you in detail. The usual final cleaning after completion of the construction works is still required.
