Fault Monitoring Unit, MDRC

GH Q631 0085 R0111 26 2

Security Products

The fault monitoring unit SMB/S 1.1 is used to detect and manage up to 100 fault messages via ABB i-bus Using the following range of security products, it is possible to implement a variety of tasks from basic monitoring functions to professional security installations in conjunction with ABB i-bus
® . The fault messages are processed within the unit and can be forwarded to a display unit. Furthermore an optical and an acoustic collective status signal is provided. Messages can be acknowledged and data losses can be reported. Actual values can be centrally requested.
® . Typical applications range from simple functions, e.g., opening surveillance or lock furniture monitoring of doors manufacturer and windows supplier, reporting fractures in water pipes or the early detection of smoke to installations in buildings with VdS requirements.

Security Module, MDRC

The security module provides the necessary logic functions available in small and medium-sized KNX installations in order to link the various KNX devices (e.g. zone terminals, movement home detectors etc.) and create an alarm system. Up to 64 different zones can be evaluated. The device has three LEDs for dis- playing the operating states as well as a freely programmable relay output. The device also has an internal buzzer. An uninterruptable KNX power supply with battery back-up is recommended.

EIB Monitoring Unit, MDRC

2CDC 071 134 F0004 The EIB monitoring unit EUB/S 1.1 enables monitoring of up to 100 bus members in KNX systems. The devices are monitored to ensure their presence and minimum functionality (send and receive). EUB/S 1.1

Data Logging Unit, MDRC

MT/S 4.12.1

Zone Terminal, 4-fold, MDRC

GH Q631 0027 R0111 26 4 The data logging unit detects local operation cycles and operating hours to plan the maintenance or durability evaluation of the devices. For each of the 35 channels (e.g. switch actuators), that should be monitored, limit values can be set and a message sent if this limit is exceeded. The logging of operating hours can be predetermined for the total or remaining time. These values can be modified via communication objects. Used for the monitored connection of passive detectors, e.g., magnetic contacts or glass-breakage sensors to the ABB i-bus
® and/or for the connection of other floating contacts in applications with increased security requirements. The device has 4 zone inputs whose states are indicated via 4 LEDs. Two 12 V outputs “Walk test” and “Set/unset” enable the control of conventional passive infrared detectors. An external 12 V DC SELV power supply is required, e.g., NT/S 12.1600.

Preventative Sensor Technology Zone Terminal, 2-fold, FM

Preventative sensor technology refers to devices and systems which detect changes in the electrical installation early and report them. This technology is used in addition to the primary protection system in order to increase the reliability of the electrical supply. Possible applications for preventative sensor technology include the measurement of load currents, residual currents etc., possible disconnection if there is an overrange or underflow of the set threshold values, correlation of the measured values and if required trend analysis as part of maintenance measures or remote diagnosis. The device is used for the monitored connection of passive detectors such as magnetic contacts, pas- sive infrared detectors or glass-breakage sensors. It has 2 zone inputs to which more than one detector can be connected. Two 12 V outputs “Walk test” and “Set/unset” enable the control of passive infrared detectors. The device can be flush-mounted in an installation box with x 55 mm. An external 12 V DC SELV power supply is required, e.g., NT/S 12.1600.

Current Module, 3 channel, MDRC

to be discontinued The current module enables the measurement of load and/or residual currents. There are 3 isolated and inde- pendent measuring circuits available for this purpose. The actual load and residual current values can be sent via the ABB i-bus
SK 0086 B99 ® . Switching telegrams can also be sent via the ABB i-bus
® if there is an overrange of underflow in the set threshold values. SM/S 3.16.30 GH Q631 0034 R0111 26 4
